Credits, history, and payment

Illustration: credit balance, purchase, and history in VinoCellar.

Credits mainly fund AI scan analysis. On the web and Android, checkout is handled securely online. On iOS, in-app purchases go through the App Store (Apple); Apple Pay is often available there depending on your Apple account — same packs and MCP subscription, in line with platform rules.

How do I buy credits?

From the credits section:

  1. Choose a pack that fits your needs.
  2. Confirm: on iOS via the App Store (Apple Pay); on Android or the web via secure online checkout.
  3. After a successful payment, your balance updates when the server confirms.

How many credits at signup? What are the paid packs?

On signup: 10 free credits to try in-app scans.

Store support bonus (public feedback): up to 5 scan credits may be added after verification.

Paid packs — the same launch offer applies on web, Android, and iOS; euro amounts below are indicative, and the amount shown at checkout is final:

VAT included where applicable. On iOS, App Store prices may vary by country or period.
PackWeb / AndroidiOS (App Store)
20 credits€10 launch offer (list €15)€13.99 launch offer (€21 indicative list)
60 credits€25 launch offer (list €45)€34.99 launch offer (€62 indicative list)
200 credits€70 launch offer (list €150)€96.99 launch offer (€207 indicative list)

The launch offer is the same on our website, on Android, and in the App Store. The numbers in each column can differ because purchases on iPhone or iPad go through Apple: the price Apple shows on the payment sheet typically includes about 20% VAT and about a 30% Apple platform fee for this kind of purchase, on top of what you see when paying through the website or the Android checkout. You are still buying the same pack—only the payment route and how the total is built differ. The final price is always shown on screen before you confirm.

Can I cancel a payment?

If you cancel or leave before confirming payment, nothing is charged for that attempt.

You return to the app without crediting the account.

Are credit packs a subscription?

No. Credit packs are one-time purchases: you pay once per pack and tokens are added to your balance.

What is the MCP subscription?

Separately from credits, VinoCellar offers an optional MCP subscription at €3.99/month (no commitment, cancel anytime). For the app launch, checkout runs at the promotional €2.99/month on the web and Android. It unlocks unlimited use of the MCP server so AI assistants (Claude today; ChatGPT and Gemini planned) can query and update your cellar without consuming scan credits.

On iOS (App Store), the MCP subscription is displayed at €4.49/month. It is the same subscription as elsewhere — the price difference is due to Apple’s platform fee (~30 %) and VAT built into the App Store price. The exact amount is always confirmed before any charge.

Subscribe from the app when available in your account flow; see the “MCP server” FAQ topic for setup and benefits.

Where is credit history?

The same section lists movements on your balance.

  • Purchases paid packs listed here.
  • Bonuses or possible adjustments per service rules.

What is the store support scan bonus?

From the app you can start an optional flow: after you post public feedback on the store and our team verifies it, up to 5 scans may be credited. This is separate from paid packs.

  • Validation the request may stay pending until manually handled by the team.
  • Rules shown in the app when you submit.

Where are legal terms for payments explained?

Terms and privacy policy describe the framework (data, service).

For a specific contract question, combine those documents and support.
