The estate

Fairview

Fairview, situated on the slopes of the Paarl Mountain, is a historic estate that has been a cornerstone of South African winemaking for over three centuries. The estate is renowned for its commitment to sustainability and its innovative spirit, particularly in championing the Pinotage grape, which is a unique South African cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. This 2020 Barrel-aged edition represents a meticulous selection of fruit from the Coastal Region. By aging the wine in carefully chosen oak barrels, the winemakers allow the naturally bold and fruity character of the Pinotage to harmonize with refined wood-derived nuances, resulting in a complex and structured expression of the terroir.
